Building Bridges.
Opening Doors.
Launching Fall 2027.

OUR MISSION
“Puentes y Puertas is a public dual-language charter school dedicated to graduating students who are bilingual, biliterate, and academically successful—demonstrated by proficiency in both English and Spanish, strong performance on state academic assessments, and readiness for college, career, and civic engagement.”

Vision Statement:
“We envision a future where every student—regardless of background—has access to a bilingual, high-quality education that leads to academic mastery, language proficiency, and workforce readiness.”

Our Name:
Puentes y Puertas means Bridges and Doors. We are committed to building bridges between cultures and opening doors to opportunities for every child.

Our Stage of Development:
We are currently in the planning phase—working with community members, educators, and partners to bring this vision to life.

Our Why

Oklahoma City is a place full of culture, pride, and promise. In our community, many children grow up speaking two languages and carrying rich traditions that are a gift to our city’s future. We see this as a powerful opportunity.

Puentes y Puertas is being created to nurture that potential—helping every child become confident in both English and Spanish, excel academically, and build the skills they need for bright futures. With a caring dual-language program, personalized instruction, and close partnerships with families, we will work together to open doors of opportunity for every student.
